Special Journal Issue on Ancestral Fishes

The Journal of Ichthyology is planning a special issue entitled “Primitive fishes: scientific, cultural, and commercial importance.” Sturgeon and paddlefish papers are welcome! The special issue aims to provide an overview of the current knowledge of primitive fishes with respect to 1) evolution, phylogeny, phylogeography, and molecular biology; 2) taxonomy and zoogeography; 3) ecology and life history; 4) harvesting, stock assessment, and fisheries management; 5) physiology; 6) artificial propagation and aquaculture; and 7) conservation and stock rebuilding.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at https://publish.sciencejournals.ru/login by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, you can access the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline (1 May, 2022). Research articles, review articles and short communications are invited.
