The 2027 International Fish Passage Conference

The 2027 fish passage conference is to take place in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, between June 7th and 11th.

The Fish Passage Conference serves as a platform for international collaboration, uniting specialists who are dedicated to advancing fish migration and the health of aquatic environments. The event gathers scientists, engineers, policymakers and land managers from around the globe, all working towards the shared goal of restoring fish migration routes and supporting thriving ecosystems.

Through the exchange of knowledge and practical solutions, delegates contribute to the development of effective strategies for overcoming barriers in rivers and waterways.

After having the last of the biannual conferences in Europe in 2015, the Netherlands will host this international conference again 2027 in the historic city of Leeuwarden, capital of Friesland province in the country’s northern region.

Abstract submission is open between September 1st and October 31st 2026. The Registration will open by January 4th2027.
